Question 5: Compared to murderer?

When Anna and Vronsky have satisfied their desire for one another, why does Tolstoy compare Vronsky to a murderer?

Has everyone gotten to this part yet? The scene was heartbreaking for me. Anna, I think, realized that she had just thrown away everything for "love" (though I think it was passion, not love. Time will tell.)

The comparison to murder is shocking yet true. I have friends who have had to deal with adultery in their marriage and the emotions they went through were very raw and difficult. There is a death of innocence and trust that seems harder to handle than the physical death of your spouse. At least society doesn't pass judgement on someone who has lost their spouse to death.
